The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida, has opened a call for project concept notes to expand support for mine action in Ukraine. The call was developed in consultation with Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy and Environment and the Centre for Humanitarian Demining.
The initiative has two main objectives. The first is to strengthen Ukrainian non-state organisations working on land release. The second is to further develop Ukraine’s mine action management system, which supports planning and coordination across the sector.
The indicative budget for the projects is SEK 150 million. The expected implementation period runs from April 2027 to December 2029. Concept notes may be submitted until 26 October 2026. Sida intends to select at least one concept note for possible development into a full project proposal.
The published eligibility requirements apply to registered non-profit organisations that meet the call’s criteria for certification, governance and capacity to work in several regions of Ukraine. Full application instructions are available on Sida’s official call page.
