Deminer

PSM Ukraine Group is looking for humanitarian deminers to join its operational teams and carry out humanitarian demining activities.

The role involves searching for, detecting and identifying explosive ordnance, preparing and marking hazardous and cleared areas, using approved demining equipment, and documenting the results of completed operations.

All activities are carried out in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, national standards, the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS), SOPs, and the company’s internal procedures.

We are looking for disciplined and responsible professionals who are prepared to work in field conditions, continuously develop their skills, and contribute to the safe recovery of land across Ukraine.

• Carry out humanitarian demining operations in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, national standards, and IMAS.
• Search for, detect, and identify explosive ordnance within the scope of assigned training and authorisation.
• Use manual, mechanical, and technical demining equipment as applicable.
• Assist with the preparation, marking, and identification of hazardous, suspected, and cleared areas.
• Document completed activities and maintain required operational records.
• Strictly follow safety requirements, occupational health and safety rules, SOPs, and internal procedures.
• Cooperate with team leaders, instructors, quality control personnel, and other team members.
• Participate in training, briefings, and professional development activities.

• Complete secondary, vocational, or specialised education.
• Relevant mine action training and/or certification.
• High level of responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail.
• Physical endurance and willingness to work in field conditions.
• Psychological resilience and ability to follow established procedures precisely.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow the instructions of a team leader.
• Basic documentation and reporting skills.
• Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development.

Nice to have:

• Military or technical education.
• Practical experience in engineering troops or other relevant units.
• Experience working with different types of explosive ordnance within the scope of professional training.
• Previous experience in humanitarian demining.
• Experience working on humanitarian or international projects.
• Additional mine action certificates and specialised training.
